Meeting Agenda

Start

At the beginning of every meeting, members are welcomed by the Chapter Director, and Team Leaders are introduced.

One Minute Presentation

Each week members will have an opportunity to educate the "sales team", i.e. fellow members, on how to identify prospects, introduce their business and ask questions with the possibility of getting business. Members are encouraged to give the group a "memory hook" that will stay with them long after the meeting. This is what helps the Chapter work well and generates referrals.

Visitor Welcome

After members presentations, we introduce our visitor to the rest of the chapter and get them to hand out their business cards. Later on during the meeting visitors will have an opportunity introduce their business to the members.

Eight Minute Presentation

At this point each week one member gets the chance to present their company to the group for 8 to 10 minutes. This is a great way to give the other members a detailed understanding of your business and to help them when referring you to potential new clients.

Passing Referrals

This is the most important part of the meeting. Passing referrals is the main reason we get up so early. When a member has a referral they pass it to the intended party while informing the other members as to the nature and quality of the referral. The reason for this is to make the other members think "I never thought of that" thus making for more referrals. Every week a quality check is carried out to see how many previous weeks referrals are turned into money.

Visitor Comments

At the end of every meeting visitors are asked what they thought of the meeting, did they find it enjoyable, do they think they can benefit from such a group, would they like to visit us for a second time, do they want to become a member. Most times the answer to all these questions is yes. A high percentage of the members joined after their first visit.

Belonging to BNI is like having dozens of sales people working for you.

because all the other members carry several copies of your business cards around with them. When they meet someone new who could use your products or service, they hand your card out and recommend your services. BNI provides a structured and supportive system of giving and receiving business. It does so by providing an environment in which you develop personal relationships with dozens of other qualified business professionals. By establishing this "formal" relationship with other people, you will have the opportunity to substantially increase your business.
